A Nice Day

This was a special day last May of strawberry picking and eating them warm from the sun. I don't know how people take such nice pictures of their scrapbook pages, but I hope to be enlightened! This was a pretty feeble attempt. Also, a very plain layout. Nothing fancy. I made the strawberry myself! Anyway, it captures the memories for me of Eli, Cal and Ethan enjoying each other's company.

You and Mad are like two peas in a pod, I see! :) This is definitely her kind of stuff. I enlarged the pic and had a good look at the boys. Are all 3 your sons?

Two bigger ones are my youngest two. Ethan is my 7 year old nephew. Adam is my 18 year old- pretty uncatchable on film.

Hee! Yup, Ginnie's right - i love scrapbooking for sure!

I scan my layouts. Not all of them, because it's time consuming. I tried taking photos of them, but was never happy with the results. I've read that some people have good results photographing them if 1)you take the photo outside, 2) put the layout on the ground and stand on something about 2 feet high then 3) take a photo perfectly straight down. Oh yea, and the lighting must be perfect, too. Not too much sun, not too gray or overcast and not too shadowy. That's more work than scanning! :-)

I sort of made a resolution to not spend any money this year on scrapbooking stuff. I already exceeded it by $2.17 when I used a gift card for $15 at Archivers. That doesn't really count, right?
